yesterday i solo hiked into armstrong canyon to find ancient ruins. past a meander i saw the anasazi site about 50 yrds out. at this point i was a few miles down the snow/ice packed canyon. i was pretty stoked so i said “cool” really loudly. then i saw what appeared to be a mountain lion moving very quickly, directly in front of the ruins. it took me an hour and a half to get there and 20 minutes to get back…
